ARTICLE 1: SCHEDULE
On Sunday, March 1, 2026, at 09:00h, the HUAWEI WATCH GT Runner 2 Madrid Spring Race Community of Madrid 2026 – Year of the Horse will take place.
The available distances and their start times are:
• 5km Run & Walk – 09:00h
• 8km Run – 09:05h
• 16km Run – 09:05h
NOTE: These times may be modified by the event organizers. Updates will be posted on the official race website.
ARTICLE 2: REGISTRATION
Registrations can be made online. Once the registration has been completed, the fee is non-refundable under any circumstances. If you purchased the ProtectGroup refund service, please contact them directly.
Registration period: from September 18, 2025, until February 28, 2026, or until the maximum number of participants is reached.
Age requirements:
• 5km: open to all participants.
• 8km: open to all participants aged 16 and above.
• 16km: open to all participants aged 18 and above.
Fees until December 31, 2025:
• €17 for all participants of the 5km race.
• €17 for participants under 18 years old in the 8km race.
• €20 for participants over 18 years old in the 8km race.
• €20 for all participants of the 16km race.
Group registrations:
• €16.50 per participant under 18 years old for all distances (up to 3 members).
• €16.50 per participant for the 5km race (up to 3 members).
• €19.50 per participant for all distances (up to 3 members).
• €15.80 per participant under 18 years old for all distances (up to 4 members).
• €15.80 per participant for the 5km race (up to 4 members).
• €18.40 per participant for all distances (up to 4 members).
Fees from January 1, 2026:
• €19 for all participants of the 5km race.
• €19 for participants under 18 years old in the 8km race.
• €23 for participants over 18 years old in the 8km race.
• €23 for all participants of the 16km race.
Group registrations:
• €18 per participant under 18 years old for all distances (up to 3 members).
• €18 per participant for the 5km race (up to 3 members).
• €22 per participant for all distances (up to 3 members).
• €17 per participant under 18 years old for all distances (up to 4 members).
• €17 per participant for the 5km race (up to 4 members).
• €21 per participant for all distances (up to 4 members).
Promotions are not cumulative.
No registrations will be accepted on race day.
The fee must be paid at the time of registration.
For group registrations by bank transfer, a request must be made in advance to info@carreradelaprimavera.es
5% of the registration fees will be donated to the NGO REFORESTA.
NOTE: All participants under 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times (with their own registration) and may only take part in the 5km race. Participants over 16 may take part in the 8km and 16km races as long as they are properly registered. Participants under 18 must present parental authorization in order to take part. This authorization form can be downloaded here.
ARTICLE 3: BIB, CHIP, AND T-SHIRT COLLECTION
Pick-up will take place on February 27 and 28 at:
Explanada del Puente del Rey, Madrid 28008
Collection schedule:
• Friday, February 27: from 10:00h to 20:00h
• Saturday, February 28: from 10:00h to 18:00h
NOTE: Timing chips will be provided for the 5km, 8km, and 16km races. Only runners using the official timing chip provided by the organization will appear in the official classification.
To collect the bib, the registered participant’s ID must be presented.
If the bib is collected by someone other than the registered participant, they must present a photocopy of the registered participant’s ID and their own ID, and sign a document provided by the organization confirming collection.
Additionally, minors participating in the 5km or 8km races must submit a signed parental/legal guardian authorization form at the time of bib pick-up. Without this authorization, the minor will not be allowed to participate.
T-shirts:
Participants must select their T-shirt size during registration. T-shirts will be handed out in strict order of pick-up.
Available sizes are subject to stock.
The organization cannot guarantee that all participants will receive their requested size, as T-shirts are ordered prior to the registration deadline.
ARTICLE 4: TIME LIMIT
The maximum time limits for each distance are as follows:
• 5km: 1.5 hours, finish line closes at 10:30h
• 8km: 2 hours, finish line closes at 11:00h
• 16km: 2 hours, finish line closes at 11:00h
ARTICLE 5: ROUTE
The start and finish lines will be located on the Puente del Rey esplanade. All distances will be run entirely on paved surfaces.
The start will take place next to the Puente del Rey bridge, heading towards Paseo de Extremadura, turning left onto the Puente de Segovia bridge and turning left again onto Paseo de la Virgen del Puerto until reaching the Príncipe Pío underpass, to arrive at the Rosaleda. At the end of the Rosaleda, the 5 km participants turn left, following the rest of the runners towards Paseo de Camoens.
5 km.
From the Rosaleda, turn left, crossing the railway tracks via a footbridge, crossing Avenida de Valladolid and Aniceto Marinas and skirting the Manzanares River to reach Puente del Rey, where the race ends.
8 and 16 km
From the Rosaleda, they reach Paseo de Camoens, go down to Bombilla Park, Avenida de Valladolid, Aniceto Marinas, Puente del Rey, Paseo del Embarcadero, Paseo Azul, and Lago de la Casa de Campo. At this point, the 16 km runners continue straight ahead and the 8 km runners turn left along the shore of the lake, go down Paseo del Embarcadero, cross Huerta de la Partida and reach the finish line.
16 km
At the end of Paseo Azul, they continue straight on along Camino de los Piñoneros to Glorieta de las Moreras, go up Camino de Rey behind the tennis courts, down to Paseo de los Plátanos, turning right to Siete Hermanas, continue straight on along Paseo de los Rodajos until you reach Carretera de la Ciudad Universitaria, where you will make a short round trip to complete the mileage, returning again to Paseo de los Rodajos, turning 180º at the Pino roundabout, taking Paseo del Robledal to reach Siete Hermanas, Paseo de los Castaños, Paseo del Ruiseñor, Paseo de María Teresa, until you reach the corner of the lake. From here, follow the same route as the 8 km participants until you reach the finish line.
The routes will be clearly marked by the event organisers.
NOTE: The organisers may modify the route of the race if forced to do so by weather conditions, safety reasons or any other force majeure. If such modifications occur, participants will be informed as soon as possible via the official race website www.carreradelaprimavera.es.
ARTICLE 6: REGISTRATION ENTITLEMENTS
• A guaranteed spot to participate in the Carrera de la Primavera.
• All participants will receive an exclusive race T-shirt (pick-up on February 27 and 28, 2026).
• Option to purchase the commemorative race medal.
• Race diploma, sent via email the following day.
PRIZE DRAWS
Your bib number will serve as an automatic entry for the prize draw, conducted via APP Sorteos or a similar platform.
ACTIVITIES
Participants will receive information about activities organized by KDH Events.

AID STATIONS
There will be one aid station halfway along the 16k course, and at the finish line for all distances.
Medical services and ambulances will be located at the Start-Finish area, as well as at km 5, coinciding with the aid station.
TIMING
The 5km, 8km, and 16km races will be timed using the Bib-Chip system.
Only the Bib-Chips provided by the Organization at the time of bib collection will be valid. Net time will only be recorded with mats at the start and finish lines.
BAGGAGE CLAIM
The baggage claim area will be located near the start-finish zone. It will be open from 08:00h until the end of the races.
Only one bag per participant will be accepted. The bag must contain only the personal belongings that participants wish to leave.
ACCIDENT INSURANCE & MEDICAL ASSISTANCE
All participants will be covered by a Collective Accident and Civil Liability Insurance contracted by the organization. Excluded are claims arising from latent conditions, recklessness, negligence, or failure to comply with laws, as well as those resulting from travel to or from the event venue. Participants must always follow the instructions given by the Organization through volunteers, staff, accredited personnel, or the official public address system.
Each runner takes part in the Spring Race under their sole responsibility and declares to have a sufficient level of physical fitness to face the event. The Organization recommends all runners undergo a medical check-up and/or a stress test before the race. The Organization declines all responsibility for any damages participants may suffer or cause to third parties in the hours following their participation in the race.
Any participant with medical issues (allergies, special care, etc.) must note them on the back of the bib assigned for the race. It is also recommended that underage participants include a contact phone number of a parent or legal guardian. All these rights will only be enforceable within the timeframes and places defined and communicated by the Organization.
ARTICLE 7: VEHICLES
The course will be completely closed to traffic, and the only vehicles allowed to follow the race will be those designated by the Organization, which must be properly accredited. The Municipal Police will expressly sanction vehicles, bicycles, or scooters without accreditation.
ARTICLE 8: CLASSIFICATIONS & CATEGORIES
A general classification will be established for each of the distances (5km, 8km, and 16km). The Organization will publish provisional classifications on its website on March 2, 2026, from which time complaints may be submitted.
Classification is the sole responsibility of the organizing committee, and any claims regarding results must be submitted to the Organization before 20:00h on the Monday following the race.
Claims must be sent to the email address indicated in the classifications. The Organization will communicate the resolution within a maximum of 3 days from the date of the competition.
The following male and female categories will be established for the 5km race (ages as of race day):
• ABSOLUTE
• CADET (15–16 years)
• YOUTH (16–18 years)
• SENIOR (18–34 years)
• MASTER A (35–44 years)
• MASTER B (45–55 years)
• MASTER C (55 and older)
The following male and female categories will be established for the 8km race (ages as of race day):
• ABSOLUTE
• CADET (15–16 years)
• YOUTH (16–18 years)
• SENIOR (18–34 years)
• MASTER A (35–44 years)
• MASTER B (45–55 years)
• MASTER C (55 and older)
The following male and female categories will be established for the 16km race (ages as of race day):

ARTICLE 9: TROPHIES
The awards ceremony will take place at the winners’ podium on March 1, 2026.
Trophies will be awarded as follows:
5km race:
• Top 3 male finishers
• Top 3 female finishers
• Top 3 male finishers under 12 years old
• Top 3 female finishers under 12 years old
8km race:
• Top 3 male finishers
• Top 3 female finishers
16km race:
• Top 3 male finishers
• Top 3 female finishers
IMPORTANT
Failure to be present at the award ceremony will be understood as a waiver of trophies or prizes obtained. Any delegation of collection to another person must be notified to and authorized by the Organization at least half an hour prior to the awards ceremony.
ARTICLE 10: DISQUALIFICATIONS
All participants must wear the original bib on their chest throughout the race. Runners will be disqualified if they:
• Do not pass through established control points
• Do not complete the entire course
• Alter or hide the sponsor logos on the bib
• Run with a Bib-Chip assigned to another runner
• Do not wear the original bib assigned for this edition
• Cross the finish line without a bib
• Show signs of poor physical condition
• Display unsportsmanlike behavior
• Do not follow the instructions of the Organization’s staff
ARTICLE 11: ACCEPTANCE
All participants, by registering, accept these regulations. In case of doubt or any situation not reflected herein, the decision of the Organizing Committee will prevail.
By signing up (or registering online), participants declare the following:
• I certify that I am in good physical condition.
• I release from liability KDH, the sponsors, commercial partners, directors, employees, the organizing company, and other organizers from any incident that may arise from participation, such as loss of personal belongings by theft or other circumstances.
• I waive any legal action that may arise from my participation in the event.
I authorize the event organizers to record, in whole or in part, my participation as well as those under my care, through photographs, films, television, radio, video, or any other medium known or yet to be developed, and I cede all rights regarding their commercial and advertising use as deemed appropriate, without entitlement to financial compensation.
By registering, all participants accept these regulations and, in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 on the protection of personal data (GDPR), consent to the processing of the personal data provided through registration as well as of their image within the race for the purposes of the organization, development, and promotion of the event, and for sports, promotional, or commercial purposes of ORTHOAMG SL (KDH Events). These data will be incorporated into a file owned by ORTHOAMG SL, registered with the Spanish Data Protection Agency.
You may exercise your rights of access, rectification, cancellation, and opposition as established in said Law by writing to the registered office of ORTHOAMG SL, Calle Doctor Esquerdo 18, 28028 Madrid.
