The Lunar New Year, more commonly known as the Spring Festival or Chinese New Year, is the most important traditional celebration in the Chinese calendar.

To celebrate in style, on February 9th, the Madrid Spring Race Community of Madrid 2025 – Year of the Snake will hit the streets of Madrid.

Family-friendly and festive, in the Spring Race we will paint Paseo de la Castellana red, the color of good luck in Chinese tradition, to start the year in the best way possible: by enjoying running. With the start and finish at Paseo de Recoletos, you can choose between distances of 5, 8, and 16 kilometers, passing by Plaza de Colón, Plaza Castilla, or near Santiago Bernabéu Stadium for the longer distance.

So everyone can find their own challenge and way of welcoming the Year of the Snake!
